The COVID-19 nasal vaccine can stop the infection from entering the body at an early stage, announced Alexander Petkevich, virologist and head of the organizational and methodological department of the Republican Scientific and Practical Center for Epidemiology and Microbiology.
He stressed that such a vaccine is one of the effective tools to combat coronavirus infection.
"We know well that various cells are involved in the formation of immunity, there are so-called entry gates. Therefore, it would be effective and productive to limit the infection already at the first stages of entry," noted the virologist.
