6th Space Congress opens in Minsk

Ksenia Rabchinskaya: The use of space technology for the development of agriculture and medicine was discussed, by scientists at the 6th Space Congress. Experts will present their innovative developments.

The reports will read by more than 150 scientists from Belarus, Russia, Ukraine, Kazakhstan and other countries.


At the Academy of Sciences of experts will discuss the Integration of Union State Space Technologies and prospects of training astronauts and how to make the operation of the satellites reliable and trouble-free and the use of Earth remote to save crops from drought. Moreover the experts offer their developments to improve the quality of images from space.


Sergei Korenyako, head of the Institute of Informatics Problems of the NAS of Belarus: We must develop technologies to reduce the risk of loss of space vehicles launched into space to ensure good functioning of orbital groups.


Among the guests of the congress there are pilot cosmonauts. The conference will last through Thursday. It will be accompanied by exhibition of space technology achievements.
