President of Belarus Alexander Lukashenko addressed the peoples of the West during a wreath-laying ceremony at the Victory Monument on the occasion of the 77th anniversary of the Great Victory.

The President noted that Belarusians and the brotherly nations remember and understand the importance of the Great Victory not only for their own lives, but also for the fate of the world.

"We cherish this page of history, we keep the pain of losses and pride in our glorious victors in our hearts. We simply have no right and can't forget it," said Alexander Lukashenko. - So, addressing the modern generations, I first of all address my message to those who live in a fog of lies and deceit, who are deprived of an opportunity to study the true history of the World War II and the Great Patriotic War in schools. I address this message in the name of the Belarusian people to those who banned the Victory Day, who destroy monuments to fallen liberators and to the Soviet soldiers."

The head of state noted that the current rulers of the world saw the victorious offensive of the Red Army that resulted in the defeat of fascist Germany as a threat, however strange it might seem today. Therefore, they immediately set out to denigrate and demonize the Soviet Union and the Slavic world.

"Although after the victorious May, the Soviet Union, the United States and the other victors together unanimously pronounced a verdict on Nazism at Nuremberg. And all were convinced that the inhuman ideology of racial superiority had been crushed and that its black shadow would never again arise over our planet. But what do we see today? The medieval struggle for territory and resources continues, only the crusades have been replaced by the expansion of foreign funds. We see the same aggression now under the slogans of preserving human rights and some kind of sustainable development of the countries," said the Belarusian leader.

According to him, the Western politicians do not want to recognize that billions of people on Earth have been living by their own laws for centuries. The West is trying to weaken those who live and think differently to create the world according to its own vision.

"Addressing the people of the West today, I want to say: you are not so blind that you do not understand all the terrible consequences of failed attempts to reorganize by force Libya, Iraq, Syria, Afghanistan and other countries. That was all in our memory. And no puppet government you have brought to power is capable of making a blooming oasis. I want you, the people of the West, ordinary people in Paris and Berlin, Warsaw, New York, Brussels, Amsterdam, living with dreams of a green Sahara, with plans to save the Amazon forests and feed the children of Africa, to know that your money, a lot of your money is spent on the sheer genocide," stressed Alexander Lukashenko.
