Andrey Shved, Prosecutor General of Belarus:
“This work is very important. You see, such places are sometimes difficult to find. Paying tribute to the memory, we're beginning to understand who we're dealing with in the modern world - with the new fascists, the neo-Nazis, those who want to establish their dominance again. We understand that we have to do everything in order to fight them. So that you and I could live a normal life and we can have a future.”
Andrei Starchenko, prosecutor of the Beshenkovichy District:
“As part of the investigation of the criminal case, we have specified information about the total number of people killed by the Nazis during the Great Patriotic War. We have inspected all 111settlements, which were completely or partially destroyed during the Great Patriotic War. To date, we have information that 4 settlements have almost ceased to exist. The village of Korenevo (located not too far from this place) was destroyed together with its inhabitants, i.e. it shared the fate of Khatyn.”
