Dozens of colorful rhododendrons bloom in Central Botanical Garden

The time of seasonal flowering of bushes, trees and summer flowers is a real gift of June. Dozens of various rhododendrons, plants from the family of heather, bloom in the Central Botanical Garden. A colorful palette of colors and unique natural design. Some early rhododendrons are in full bloom, while others are just getting ready to open their buds, as if competing with one another in a beauty contest. They bloom in stages until the end of summer.

The rich treasury of the Botanical Garden has more than 70 species and almost 140 varieties of rhododendrons. The collection of this exotic crop in the Central Botanical Garden of the National Academy of Sciences originated in in the mid-1960s.
