Express tests for COVID-19 conducted in Belarusian outpatient hospitals

They will help to make a diagnosis in half an hour. Doctors carry out blood sampling of first-level contacts at their homes. Then, the virus is detected using special reagents in the laboratories.

Julia Kozhuhar, laboratory diagnostics doctor, Zaslavl City Hospital: "The test is negative, if we see one strip. The positive test has 3 strips and suggests that the patient is ill with COVID -19."

Each first-level contact passes two COVID-19 tests. The first ones are examined in professional laboratories for three days. The new express system carries out re-verification in 10 days.
