The protests in Belarus were carefully planned and coordinated from abroad. This statement was made by the Chairperson of the Standing Commission of the House of Representatives on International Affairs Andrei Savinykh during a video conference within the framework of the meeting of the PACE Commission on Political Affairs and Democracy. The discussion lasted about two hours. The communication showed that the representatives of Europe have an extremely unrealistic idea of the situation in Belarus.

Andrei Savinykh, Chairperson of the Standing Commission of the House of Representatives on International Affairs, Head of the Delegation of the National Assembly of the Republic of Belarus to the OSCE PA: "I am surprised by the lack of understanding of the processes taking place in Belarus. I also express the opinion that external intervention aimed at non-alternative transfer of power to any third power is absurd. The government in Belarus works in the interests of the whole society, ordinary people, and we will continue to pursue this policy of the welfare state, and I explained to our partners in Europe that the Republic of Belarus is interested in a broad internal dialogue with the participation of the maximum number of legitimate public and political organizations for the modernization of the political system in the Republic of Belarus."

The parliamentarian stressed that much more constructive interaction between Belarus and Europe had been achieved in recent years than in decades of sanctions and restrictions. He called on his European colleagues to assess the situation in our country impartially.
