Minsk hosts international conference on development of palliative care

Belarus has begun the purchase of drugs for the treatment of hereditary genetic diseases. This was announced today by the Minister of Health. At the international conference on the development of palliative care, Valery Malashko also noted the high level of assistance to families with seriously ill children.

At the conference, which will be held for three days, specialists from 11 countries will discuss issues of ensuring the rights of the child to quality palliative care, and the main trends in its development.

Belarus became one of the initiators of the creation of the Association of Children's Palliative Care in Eastern Europe and Central Asia. It is planned that the organization will begin its work next year.
