In accordance with the Plan of joint training of command bodies and formations of forces and means of collective security system of the Collective Security Treaty Organization for 2022, the special exercises "Search-2022", "Echelon-2022" and command-staff exercise "Interaction-2022" will be held in Kazakhstan from September 26 to October 13.
The active phase of the exercise will be held at the training ground Matybulak from October 3 to 7. Practical actions of the troops (Collective Forces) of the CSTO will be carried out in difficult conditions of mountain and desert terrain.
The military contingents of the CSTO member states, task forces of Joint Staff and CSTO Secretariat, special purpose forces from special units of internal affairs bodies (police), security agencies and special services, as well as authorized bodies in the field of prevention and elimination of emergency situations will participate in the exercise.
It is planned that the total number of participants in the exercises in Kazakhstan will be more than 6,500 people and more than 850 units of military and special equipment, including aircraft, helicopters and UAVs.
