Grodno hosts international forum of women leaders

Promoting gender equality and the participation of women in public and бей life was discussed at international forum of women leaders in Grodno. The conference focuses on both global gender issues and the opportunities for women at local level. About a hundred participants - representatives of state bodies, international organizations and public associations - discussed the participation of women in the political life of the country as a whole and regions in particular. The OSCE / ODIHR's Department for Democratic Governance and Gender Issues tries to promote women's participation in the local government. At this level, increased participation of women in all socio-political processes has begun.
