Belarus celebrates 65th anniversary of entry into UNESCO

Celebrations on the occasion of the anniversary date will be held today at the National Library. The program includes an open meeting of the National Commission of the organization. There are four UNESCO World Heritage sites in Belarus: Belovezhskaya Pushcha, Mir Castle, Nesvizh Palace and Park Complex and Duga Struva, as well as the Christmas ceremony of the village Semzhevo of  Minsk District in the listsof intangible cultural heritage and a celebration in honor of honoring the Budslav Icon of the Mother of God "Budslav Fest".

The bicentenary of the birthday of the classic vocal lyricist, composer Stanislav Moniuszko, is included in the UNESCO List of Commemorative Dates for the 2019. Also, Belarus actively cooperates with an international organization in the field of education, science, culture, communication and information.
