Belarus approves plan of events to mark International Day of Persons with Disabilities

The opening of the center of social services and a concert of pop stars are only some of the events to be held in Belarus on the International Day of People with Disabilities, says sb.by. 

The country celebrates the Day of the Disabled on December 3, this Saturday. One of the most significant events is the opening of the contact center of the state social services. The new structure will be opened on December 1 in Minsk, according to the Minister of Labor and Social Protection Irina Kostevich.

Another novelty, the appearance of which is tied to the date, is the opening of the medical building of the health resort "Vyazhuti" for disabled with disorders of the musculoskeletal system. It will take place on November 29.

On December 3, on the International Day of People with Disabilities, the actors of the youth theater will congratulate the families, in which children with disabilities are brought up, and will perform their best songs for them.

On November 30, the national festival of creativity "Dreams Come True" will take place. Disabled children and young people with disabilities will present their talents to the jury and the audience.

Dozens and hundreds of events are also planned in the regions. These include charity events, concerts, marathons, dialogue platforms, direct telephone lines, recreation evenings and festivals.

For example, December 1, the residents of the Leninsky District, who have disabilities, will be provided with free manicure, pedicure, hairdresser and make-up services as part of the "Transfiguration" campaign.

In Vileika District the 20th anniversary charity marathon "Do great Without Expecting Great" has been going on for a month. It started on November 3 and will end on December 3.
