Belarus increases state support in housing construction for certain categories of citizens

Belarus has increased state support in the construction of housing for certain categories of citizens. The decree was signed by the President today. 

Thus, the size of the subsidy to repay the principal debt on a commercial loan was increased for orphans from 35 to 50%. In addition, half of the debt will be repaid free of charge for families raising disabled children. If such a family is large, it will receive a priority right for state support. Those citizens who are not engaged in the economy and entered the database of non-working citizens will be denied state support. This rule will come into force on March 1.

Some norms of shared construction were settled by a separate decree. It was also signed today by the Head of State. The most notable innovation: large families will receive the first right to start construction. This will reduce the waiting time in the queue of those in need. In recent years, large families have been waiting for construction to begin for several years. This period should not exceed a year. This task was set by the President at a recent meeting on construction.
