Serious amendments to the land regulations are forthcoming in Belarus. The most fundamental proposals were discussed at the government session. Alexander Lukashenko adheres to reasonable and evolutionary development.
It is important to meet the expectations of the people and really solve their problems. Agricultural, arable and forest lands should remain the property of the state, and this is the area of the President's responsibility. The rest of the land powers can be delegated to local authorities: from governors to chairmen of village executive committees.
There are also plans to split up land plots so that people could build a house on a plot of land next to their parents. There will be a more flexible and variable approach to the intended use of land. It will be allowed to legalize land in excess of the allocated norm, if the interests of the other party are not affected. One of the tasks is de-bureaucratization and removal of excessive administrative barriers. At the same time, there should be no speculation on land!
In general, the President supported the adjustments. But he ordered a number of them to be finalized and amended through amendments to the Land Code. The government must clearly define the principles of work, the boundaries of settlements and zones of responsibility.
