Network of institutions intended for re-socialization of former prisoners to be created in Belarus

1 марта 2018

It is planned to create a whole network of institutions intended for re-socialization of former prisoners in Belarus. This was announced today by the Minister of the Interior during a visit to the Khutor-Agro enterprise. Igor Shunevich notes that such organizations are created primarily in order to help former prisoners and patients of occupational therapy rehabilitation centers to return to normal life. The Department of Execution of Punishments took patronage over this agricultural enterprise in August last year. 30 people are working here now. But this is only the beginning of the experiment. It is planned that in the future, former prisoners from all penitentiary facilities of the country will work at the enterprise.

Today, Khutor-Agro requires about 60 more workers. For details of this project watch The Main Air on Sunday.
