Belarus celebrates Day of Archaeologist

Scientists find artifacts that reveal the secrets of the history of our country. These days, for example, large-scale excavations in Braslav District  are held. They are conducted both on the land and under the water. Scientists are exploring the island on Lake Nespis. In the beginning of the 16th century a monastery was built there, which completely burned down in 1832. Historians and volunteers are looking for the foundation of the monastery buildings and trying to determine the age of the bridge that was laid to the island.
