New oil field found in Belarus

A new site appeared on the oil map of Belarus. Belorusneft specialists discovered Guryanovskoye Field in the central zone of the Pripyat Depression, Richitsa District. According to preliminary estimates, the geological reserves of the field are located at a depth of 1.5km and may amount to 600 thousand tons. According to the testing of the potentially oil-bearing area, an oil free-flowing is expected there. Over the next 2 years, 13 prospecting and exploratory wells are planned to be drilled in the central structural zone of the the Pripyat Depression.

Petr Povzhik, Deputy General Director of Belorusneft: "Over the last 5 years, we discovered 8 new oil fields in the region. The increase in recoverable reserves due to the discovery amounted to 7.5 million tons. Since 2018, we have steadily reached the 100% payoff of the produced oil."

Sergey Shevelenko, Deputy Head of Geology at Rechitsaneft: "In the future, using the latest development technologies, we can expect up to 50 tons per day there. In fact, this is the level of the Russian Federation."

This year they plan to produce a total of 1, 73 m  tons.
