Belarus has an optimal system for supporting large families, says Deputy Prime Minister Anatoly Tozik in an interview to our channel. However, the measures taken in the country require some refinement. On January 1, 2015 for the birth of the third and subsequent children families will receive maternity capital in the amount of 10 thousand dollars. The money can be spent when the child ages 18 on improving of living conditions, on education, health services and the formation of additional pension for the mother. Before reaching the 18th anniversary the child's funds can be used only in extreme cases, such as the need to provide immediate medical assistance to any member of the family.
