2 февраля 2018

The Belarusian, who spent almost seven years in the Libyan captivity, returned to his homeland. Today he flew to Minsk from Moscow. Vyacheslav Kachura is the last of the Belarusian citizens who was detained by one of the so-called revolutionary brigades. Our compatriot was met at the National Airport by relatives and the crew of the TV News Agency.

Minsk purposefully worked to return the citizen of our country forcibly kept in Libya. All possible measures were taken, the issue was addressed at all levels, most recently at the meeting of the President of Belarus and the head of the Chechen Republic in September 2017. Today Alexander Lukashenko sent letters of thanks to Ramzan Kadyrov and Mohammed bin Zayed Al-Nahyan, Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi and Deputy Supreme Commander of the UAE Armed Forces, for their personal contribution and assistance in the liberation of the Belarusian citizen.
