Search battalion to conduct more than 100 excavations in 2020

Specialists from the 52nd search battalion are planning to carry out more than a hundred excavations throughout Belarus mainly on the Great Patriotic War venues and on the battlefields of the First World War.  Members of the search battalion found 6 awards, as well as 25 medallions last year. The remains of almost 2000 unknown soldiers were reburied.  And a whole range of weapons was sent for disposal.

The search battalion has identified the names and found information of 200 soldiers, including 34 who died during the First World War and 122 who died during the Great Patriotic War.
