Criminal case against top managers of TUT BY MEDIA LLC for tax evasion on especially large amounts initiated by SSC

A criminal case against top managers of TUT.BY was initiated by the financial police of the State Control. The article runs as evasion from payment of taxes and fees on especially large amounts. As the representatives of the department specified, the state suffered huge damage as a result of the unjustified use of TUT.BY media portal of state support as a resident of the Park of High Technologies. It is known that the media source obtained the status of a HTP resident in 2019. The financial investigation bodies establish all the circumstances of the crime and the suspects involved. The exact amount of damage caused to the state is also calculated.

Yuri Kardymon, Deputy Head of the Department of Financial Investigations of the State Control Committee of Belarus: "According to the Financial Investigation Department, the company received revenue following the activities not permitted for HTP residents. The Administration of the Park of High Technologies was informed about this. On the basis of the information provided by the Financial Investigation Department about the violations committed by company, the HTP Supervisory Board made a decision today on the loss of TUT BY MEDIA LLC the right to receive tax benefits provided in accordance with Presidential Decree No. 12 of September 22, 2005 "On High-Tech Park"."

At the same time, the Ministry of Information made a decision to restrict access to the TUT.BY Internet resource and its copies. The reason was the notification of the General Prosecutor's Office, which established numerous facts of violations of the law on the media.

According to the law enforcement agency, a number of publications contained prohibited information on behalf of the unregistered BYSOL foundation. The law prohibits the dissemination of information on behalf of organizations that have not undergone state registration in accordance with the established procedure, the department added.
