Kazakhstan's military contingent may join West-2021 exercise

Kazakhstan is invited to participate in the exercise West-2021. This information was reported today by the Ministry of Defense of Belarus. The invitation was made by head of the ministry Viktor Khrenin during the official negotiations with First Deputy Minister of Defense, Chief of the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Kazakhstan Murat Bektanov. The parties discussed the state of bilateral military cooperation and outlined ways for its intensive development in mutually beneficial areas. During the meeting, Khrenin noted the unity of views on the challenges and threats in the Eastern European and Central Asian regions of collective security. A particular attention was paid to increasing the quantity and quality of joint military training, expanding the range of specialties for training Kazakh specialists in military educational institutions of our country. Also parties stressed the necessity of experience exchange in patriotic education of youth. The strategic exercise West-2021 will be held on September 10- 16 in Russia and Belarus.
