All cyclists can get a vitamin boost today. Until 10.30 they will be treated with fruit on Pushkin Street, near the stela Minsk Hero City and near the park Chelyuskintsev. A busy program has been prepared for the participants of the action. The main events will be held in the capital in the afternoon.
According to Anastasia Yanchevskaya, Director of the Minsk Cycling Society, a wonderful holiday will start on Lenin Street at 16.00. Viewers will enjoy various theatrical and musical performances, extreme shows, performances of cyclists, skaters, and master classes from environmental organizations. There will be a demonstration of an electric vehicle and, of course, a concert. At 21.00 glowing bicycles will head to the National Library along Independence Avenue.
World Car Free Day is celebrated in more than 40 European countries. Belarus has been participating in the action since 2008.
