Monitoring of the consumer market showed that inflation in Belarus was 0.9% in September. Food products rose by half a percent and non-food products by 2%. In general, the price situation on the market is stable and controlled. Any distortions that arise are promptly eliminated. The Ministry of Antimonopoly Regulation and Trade constantly monitors data from trade networks and receives calls over the hotline. Since the beginning of the year, almost 5,000 shops have come under the control of MART. More than 90 violations have been recorded for socially important goods such as cereals, meat and milk, the cost of which is regulated. The violating producers did not comply with the profitability limit, and shops overstated trade margins.
