Today, the first stage of the Zapad 2017 military exercise will be completed. At the Borisovskiy training ground, the military will practice occupying areas and positions and perform tactical camouflage. Combat action training for searching and destroying subversive groups will be held at the Osipovichi training ground. In Lepel District, an attack on the block post will be reflected. A similar scenario will be worked on at the Losvido training ground. Near Ruzhany, servicemen will work on countering air strikes of illegal military formations.
The joint exercise is taking place in the territory of both Belarus and Russia, but the main maneuvers are deployed at six training grounds of Belarus, as well two more training sites in Vitebsk Region.
