TIBO-2022: Forum Events on First Day

6 июня 2022
Belarus is an open country. We have many reliable partners and many friends. The TIBO exhibition is an example of long-term international cooperation. The Forum, which takes place in Minsk for the 28th time, is an effective negotiation platform for consumers, business, the expert community and representatives of the authorities.

President of Belarus Alexander Lukashenko sent his greetings to the participants and guests of the forum. He noted that "the world has entered a new era, and Belarus is rightfully among the countries that most actively implement digitalization processes in the economy, public administration, financial and social spheres."

Although TIBO is a metropolitan event, much attention is paid to regional digitalization. Often the district centers become the testing ground for global projects. They look at all the pros and cons there, at the same time raising the standard of living.

Digitalization of agriculture

Today, new technology is needed everywhere: from the capital to the most remote village. Digital technology in agriculture is an indispensable assistant. Take, for example, drones for the application of fertilizers. By the way, there are already domestic samples.

So we smoothly replace foreign technology with our own. The electronic import substitution site has been collecting bids and offers for ten days already helping sellers and buyers to find each other.

Alexander Osmolovsky, Chairman of the Board of the Belarusian Universal Commodity Exchange:

“This is useful for all market participants, and especially for those participants who previously supplied goods from abroad and today have lost such an opportunity. They can place an application for the production of goods at the site of import substitution. They can even attach engineering drawings to the goods, according to which the manufacturer will be able to produce the necessary goods.”

An ability to respond to new challenges was much discussed during the official opening of the forum. All systems, be it mobile banking or a smart city, should not depend on any external factors. As the relevant minister said, there are enough specialists who are ready to work for the country. The outflow from IT turned out insignificant.

TIBO-2022 will last until June 10

Introducing new technologies, working with proven partner and specific measures under the EAEU digital agenda ending 2025 will be discussed tomorrow at the Eurasian Digital Forum. The TIBO exhibition will last four more days, officially closing on Friday.
