As announced by the Chairman of the Board of the Republican Union of Tourism Industry, the territory of Belarus where the visa-free regime applies can be put into one tourist route.
Filipp Guly noted that the introduction of a 10-day visa-free stay for foreign citizens in certain areas of Brest and Grodno Regions will contribute to a significant increase in the number of tourists. Therefore, such a tourist route will help expand the country's tourism potential.
Filipp Guly, the Chairman of the Board of the Republican Union of Tourism Industry:
"All services, especially power structures, border and tourism industries, worked for 10 months in a five-day visa-free regime. We saw certain mistakes, of course. And during this time, all of them were corrected and eliminated, and, now we can move on. As for 2018, we have a very difficult, serious, and at the same time pleasant task – to work in this ten-day mode. 10 days should enough for any trip around Belarus."
In 2019, Belarus will host the second European Games, and in 2021, together with Latvia, – the IIHF World Championship. Such major sports forums should attract tourists to the country as well.
