"Tank Biathlon": Belarus holds third place after first race

24 августа 2021

The Belarusian team is in third place following the results of the first individual race of the "Tank Biathlon" competition. Today, at the Alabino shooting range in Russia, our tank crews competed with crews from Azerbaijan, Kazakhstan and Serbia. The task was to hit three targets in the minimum time: a tank, a helicopter and a grenade launcher firing point. Despite hitting 100%, the crew lost almost 2 minutes while aiming at one of the targets. As a result, the crew lost to the teams of Kazakhstan and Azerbaijan and took third place.

Andrey Nekrashevich, head of the Belarusian delegation, judge of the "Tank Biathlon" competition, Head of the Main Department of Combat Training of the Armed Forces of Belarus:

We conceded insignificantly, about 40 seconds. I can say with confidence that for people who participate for the first time in such an event at this level, it is a decent result. After all, they have competed today with crews that have been competing in these competitions for at least 3-4 years. Two more individual races are ahead, on August 27 and 29 here at the Alabino shooting range. According to the results of three individual races, 8 crews will be chosen who will get to the semifinal - they will continue the fight for the exit to the final of "Tank Biathlon".
