Customs services coordinate efforts to stop law violations

23 июня 2022
The heads of customs authorities of the CIS countries have agreed on areas of work for the future on June 23 in Minsk. This underlines the high level of interaction and readiness for close cooperation. Experts say that the number of crimes in the CIS region is increasing. For the most part, it is evasion of customs payments, failure to declare goods, and illegal movement of goods.  In addition, customs are fighting the drug trafficking. This year alone nearly 160 cases of illicit drug trafficking have already been discovered. More than 200 pieces of ammunition and weapons have also been seized.

The task of customs services is to analyze the effectiveness of interaction between law enforcement agencies and develop specific approaches to solve urgent problems.
