Orthodox believers observe Good Friday as most mournful and sorrowful day before Easter

Good Friday  is observed in the Orthodox calendar. For believers, it is the most mournful and sorrowful day. According to the Gospel, it was on this day that Jesus was condemned and crucified on the cross. People who observe the customs go to churches, limit themselves in fun and housework. Instead of long conversations and conflicts, they spend the day in quiet prayers.
