Minsk is actively developing partnerships with cities of the CIS countries. For example, Minsk’s Frunzenski District and Yerevan, Armenia’s capital, are interested in expanding trade, economic, and cultural relations. Prospects for bilateral cooperation were discussed today by Artem Tsuran, the head of administration of Frunzenski District, and Oleg Yesayan, the Ambassador of Armenia to Belarus. The participants of the meeting noted they have a special interest in the establishment of joint ventures, attracting investments, as well as studying the experience of housing and communal services.
Oleg Yesayan, the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Armenia to Belarus:
"The cooperation between the two capitals plays an important part in the development of the Armenian-Belarusian relations. In this context, it is important that specific agencies of the municipal administration have specific partners in Armenia. I see great potential for the development of economic contacts."
Today, Minsk’s Frunzenski District is establishuing close relations with Nizhny Novgorod in Russia and Maardu in Estonia.
