Belarus pays special attention to sports. More and more social facilities for sports open every year

The international victories of our countrymen  unite the nation like nothing else. More and more social facilities open throughout the country for mass sports every year, and most sports schools offer free education. Moreover, Belarus ' sports facilities allow our country to count and hold forums on a global scale. Foreign experts and heads of the international federations are constantly surprised by the level of these events. 
The state policy will remain the same in the field of mass sports: conditions for a healthy lifestyle should be as accessible as possible for every citizen of Belarus.

Sergey Kovalchuk, Minister of Sport and Tourism of Belarus: "The infrastructure is highly developed: cyclists have their own tracks, speed skating has its own stadium, gymnasts  have their own palace, hockey has a sufficient number of arenas - 42. The investment of our country's leadership in the development of sports industry gives results." 

Belarusians won 846 awards in the international arena in 2019. The construction of Minsk and Chizhovka Arenas has become strategically important for the sports industry: the CHL club Dinamo Minsk has received a home ground and new  hockey facilities allowed Belarus to count on hosting the World Cup.
The tournament in Minsk entered the top 20 events of the decade in ice hockey according to the IIHF. As a result, we got the right to hold the World Cup together with Latvia again in 2021.
Minsk hosted the II European games from 21 to 30 June. Belarus enters the Olympics in Tokyo in 2021 with ambitious plans, Minsk is going to host the European Athletics Championship, the World Cup. The year will be more than eventful. We are waiting for even more bright victories of sovereign and independent Belarus.
