Excluding both intentional and unconscious fraud in the field of public procurement. Today the State Control Committee of Belarus and the Accounts Chamber of Russia held a seminar on the improvement and practice of conducting inspections in this area. The meeting was held in the format of a video conference. According to the Accounts Chamber, taking into account state corporations, the public procurement sector accounts for up to 30% of the GDP of the neighboring country. At the same time, controllers reveal tens of thousands of violations. We are talking about a significant item of expenditures in Belarus. Tree billion 700 thousand rubles were allocated from the state budget and more than 2 thousand agreements were concluded for the first half of the year. It is no secret that the risks of corruption are extremely high in this matter.
Dmitry Basko, Deputy Chairman of the State Control Committee of Belarus: "This seminar is of mutual interest both for the Russian side and for the State Control Committee of Belarus. We have something to share - the results of control measures, control in the field of public procurement. It is necessary to pay attention to two areas of control - both external and internal."
