Minsk artesian system network expands

26 сентября 2022
The transition to artesian water is carried out in Minsk.  A large-scale project  was launched to connect  Moskovsky and Frunzensky districts to the underground water sources. The works will last for about two months. Afterwards, more than hundred wells will be drilled, and the length of water pipeline will be 90 km.

According to the projects, pumping stations will also be built and the Minsk water purification plant will be reconstructed.

After the introduction of the new system, the artesian H2O will be provided to all residents of the capital, since the rest of the city is already connected to the underground water infrastructure. Consumers will get water from real underground rivers. Complicated technical constructions help to get water out of the ground. There are about 400 wells of different capacity around Minsk, from which the water goes to the deferrization stations, where drinking water is cleaned from impurities.
