Belarus is one of the countries with self-sufficient agricultural production and fully meets its needs in food products.
Thus, in 2019, according to the national static committee, the index of food security, which measures the policy of states and the effectiveness of their institutions, took thirty-sixth place among hundred and thirteen countries. In the CIS, Belarus is a leader in the production of potatoes, sugar beet, milk and meat.
In a number of goods, buyers' demand is almost completely satisfied by the products of domestic producers. In the eight months of this year, trade organizations sold goods for more than sixteen billion rubles.
Belarusian products can be bought in eighty-seven countries of the world. Dairy products, meat, vegetables and fish are the most exported.
