Joint Belarusian-Russian operational exercise "Union Shield - 2019" starts today

The training ground near Nizhny Novgorod will host  the joint operational exercise "Union Shield - 2019" today. During the maneuvers, the military leadership will check the readiness of the troops of Belarus and Russia to work in tandem. The current exercise will involve 12 thousand troops, including 4 thousand people, more than 30 tanks, 80 combat vehicles, as well as about 15 aircraft and helicopters from the Belarusian side.
