Euphrosyne of Polotsk is considered a patron saint of Belarus. In her lifetime, she was a great enlightener in the Slavic lands.
The main celebrations are taking place in Polotsk’s Convent of Our Savior and St. Euphrosyne. Founded by Euphrosyne in the 12th century, it is home to her incorruptible relics. A sacred procession will take place in the streets of Polotsk today. The festivities are expected to be attended by Metropolitan Pavel of Minsk and Zaslavl, Patriarchal Exarch of All Belarus.
