World Refugee Day was adopted by the UN General Assembly in 2000. On this day, people all over the world express solidarity with those who had to leave their homes for one reason or another. Currently, there are 43 million refugees in the world, 7 million of which are children. Most of the refugees live in Africa. Belarus is actively assisting those who need support in difficult moments. There are 4 refugee centres in the country - in Minsk National Airport, Vitebsk, Gomel and Brest.
