The work to combat coronavirus continues under the personal control of the head of state. Alexander Lukashenko is in Mogilev visiting the Regional Hospital today.
This institution has about 1 500 employees. Less than half of the beds are now allocated for COVID patients. According to the head physician, in the last week, there has been a decrease in morbidity.
Alexander Lukashenko, President of the Republic of Belarus: "Southern regions feel normal. Mogilev region is in the middle. Higher than the southern regions, the situation is worse because they have not gotten sick in the first wave."
By tradition, the President visited several departments where patients with coronavirus are being treated, talked with doctors and patients working in the "red zone". Alexander Lukashenko thanked the doctors for their calm work during the pandemic and met with the hospital staff.
Large-scale construction of a cardio-surgical building is being built in the territory of the hospital. It is planned to be commissioned in November next year. In general, the visit to Mogilev hospital continues a series of visits by the head of state to regional health care institutions that treat COVID patients. Prior to that, Alexander Lukashenko visited the 4th and 6th Hospitals of Minsk, Vitebsk Regional Maternity Hospital and Stolbtsy District Hospital.
