Amid the aggravation of the military and political situation in Eastern Europe, Belarus remains committed to political and diplomatic ways of resolving controversies and in practice demonstrates openness with regard to the activities of its Armed Forces. On June 20, Belarus resumed verification activities within the framework of the existing international arms control treaties. Today, notifications regarding its resumption have been sent to all OSCE Member States. The decisions on the provision of foreign inspection activities in the territory of Belarus will be taken on a parity basis. In addition, in keeping with the policy of transparency, a visit to the Malorita area of the state border reinforcement tasks was organized today for foreign defense attachés accredited to the Ministry of Defence.
The Armed Forces of Belarus threaten no one, are transparent and reliably defend the homeland, its sovereignty, territorial integrity, constitutional order, and ensure peace on our land.
