Russia closes border with Belarus due to threat of coronavirus spread

Russia is temporarily closing its border with Belarus for the movement of people, these are additional measures to prevent the spread of COVID-19. This was stated today by Russian Prime Minister Mikhail Mishustin. On March 17, he ordered the launch of a green corridor for essential goods at customs for a month. Later, clarifications will be provided to citizens in connection with the new measures. Earlier, other neighboring countries introduced temporary restrictions on entry. This is Ukraine, Poland, Latvia and Lithuania. 

Meanwhile, physicians in Hong Kong have begun clinical trials of an experimental drug, Remdesivir, which is considered potentially effective in the fight against coronavirus. And in the U.S., the first participant in the clinical trials of COVID-19 vaccine will receive the test dose today.
