Independence Avenue acknowledged as world value

The Republican Scientific and Methodological Council on Historical and Cultural Heritage by the Ministry of Culture acknowledged Independence Avenue as a global asset and gave it the first category. This stage is necessary to prepare the architectural ensemble for the inclusion in the UNESCO World Heritage List. The central street of the capital is considered a model of the socialist empire, in which various architectural styles are intertwined.

The city authorities were recommended to determine the protection zones and take measures to bring the facades of historical buildings into proper condition in connection with the upgrade of Independence Avenue category.
