A package of measures has been taken for social protection of workers in a difficult epidemic situation. The relevant decrees were signed by the President today.
The documents provide for the allocation of subsidies to employers for paying the minimum wage and contributions to the Social Protection Fund. The enterprises that did not work full time from May to the end of July will be also supported. The compensation for the lost wages is made locally. The payment of social benefits to low-income people will be extended until the end of summer.
Another document signed today by the President is Decree No. 179 “On Remuneration of Labor”. It maintains the salaries of employees of budgetary organizations at a level not lower than the minimum wage.
