President extends greetings on Belarus-Russia Unity Day

Today is the Unity Day of the Peoples of Belarus and Russia. The Union Treaty between the two countries was signed 25 years ago, on April 2, 1996. It enabled the brotherly peoples to build a common union home on the solid foundation of historical, spiritual and cultural community. Chairman of the Supreme State Council of the Union State, President of Belarus Alexander Lukashenko congratulated Belarusians and Russians on this holiday. 

Alexander Lukashenko also sent Unity Day greetings to Russian President Vladimir Putin, Chairman of the Union State Council of Ministers, Russian Prime Minister Mikhail Mishustin, Federation Council Chairperson Valentina Matviyenko, Chairman of the Union State Parliamentary Assembly, State Duma Chairman Vyacheslav Volodin, State Secretary of the Union State Dmitry Mezentsev and Patriarch Kirill of Moscow and All Russia.
