The President presented state awards and the banner of prosecutor's office at the Museum of the Great Patriotic War History. On such a solemn day Alexander Lukashenko said that the price of our sovereignty is high. The country looks forward confidently and is not ashamed of its past. This is especially true of the war years: the General Prosecutor's Office continues to investigate the facts of genocide. We will no longer allow Poles, Lithuanians and other perpetrators of those terrible events to pretend that nothing happened. Everyone will be held accountable according to historical justice and the law.

It is especially symbolic that the President conferred state awards in the symbol of Belarusian statehood in the museum of the history of the Great Patriotic War. Thus, a number of employees of the prosecutor's office received medals "for labor services". The Order for Service to the Motherland was awarded to the Prosecutor General Andrei Shved and Vladimir Klishin, a prosecutor from Grodno. A number of employees of the department also received a commendation from the President of Belarus.

This year the Prosecutor's Office of Belarus is celebrating an important anniversary, a hundred years since its foundation. According to Alexander Lukashenko, the banner, which was presented to the agency, reminds of the sacred duty of  serving one’s Fatherland.
