In Belarus, the list of documents on the basis of which citizens, foreigners and stateless persons permanently residing in Belarus will be able to stay in the border area will be expanded. Today, the amendments in the law on border security have passed the first reading in the House of Representatives.
President of Belarus Alexander Lukashenko has approved the Concept of ensuring border security of Belarus for 2018-2022. The document formulates the main national interests of the state in the border area, identifies goals, objectives and principles for the effective protection of the border, as well as priorities for improving and developing the border service for five years.
