Day of National Memory of Victims of Great Patriotic War celebrated today

The President took part in an event dedicated to the Day of National Memory of the Victims of the Great Patriotic War. The fascist troops crossed the border of the Soviet Union on June 22, 1941. Brest Fortress faced the first attack. Defense of the fortress became a symbol of perseverance and self-sacrifice, the common heritage of the former Soviet republics. The requiem rally is a symbol of shared memory.

Those, who participated in the events in the 40s, and those, who later restored our country, are in the first rows. People gathered to honor the heroic generation.
