About a hundred journalists from Moscow, St. Petersburg, Smolensk, Pskov, Bryansk regions arrived in Belarus to convey objective information about our country. The journalists visited the ancient Polotsk, and went to one of the youngest cities of our country - Novopolotsk.

The journalists are getting familiar with the cultural heritage of Belarus. The National Polotsk Historical and Cultural Museum-Reserve closely cooperates with museum workers from Veliky Novgorod. Joint projects are implemented with Pskov Region. By the way, not a single festival of organ music, which takes place in the Sofia Cathedral, is complete without guests from Russia. The participants of the press tour also appreciated the unique acoustics of Polotsk Sofia.

About 240 thousand people from different countries visit Polotsk museums every year. Weekend tours are especially popular with Russian travelers.

The rich program of the press tour includes a visit to the Polotsk dairy plant. In the winter period, more than 230 tons of raw materials are processed here per day, in summer - up to 400 tons. There are 14 countries in the export map. Recently the plant has entered the market of Uzbekistan, Azerbaijan, Egypt, and China.

After visiting the ancient Polotsk, the journalists went to the young Novopolotsk. This year the city turned 60. Its history began with the construction of an oil refinery. The director of the plant told about the history of Naftan and its development prospects. Now the plant is implementing ambitious projects. They will allow Naftan to increase the depth of oil refining and increase the yield of light petroleum products. The journalists will reflect the details of the first day of the press tour in their television reports, notes, as well as online blogs.
