Larisa Nikolayevna is a pensioner from Borisov, who one day abruptly changed her life. She went to Norway at 56, in fact, without knowledge of the language and in 3 years she got a job.
She didn't want to prove her economic education in Norway. Larisa Nikolayevna took a job as an administrator in the rehabilitation center 30 kilometers from Oslo, in a small town Mjøndalen. She decided to prove to herself that she could still do a lot.
"They work hard, a lot," says the pensioner. - And if you work for 8 hours, you work all 8 hours. I can't say that there are any breaks, the workload is heavy."
So she worked for 14 years. And when she turned 70, she quit, because according to their laws you can't work anymore. Smagina returned home from Norway in 2018.
Larisa Smagina, a pensioner:
“According to their laws, they recalculated the pension for me. And I started getting it. For a few months I was getting it there. Then I started to transfer it from the Norwegian account in Belarusbank to the foreign currency account. But in March 2022, this pleasure ended. They've excluded Russia and Belarus from the list of countries with which they conduct relations. In fact, the bank excluded the names of these countries from theirs. And here I want to ask the leaders of the European Union: where are your notorious values that you have fooled the world with? Human rights? Property rights, inviolability? Where are they?”
She called the Norwegian bank, but there was no answer. She says, she feels exhausted.
In Belarus, she has children, grandchildren, a hobby. She knits for hours. And as for money, she has a Belarusian pension.
