US Embassy in Belarus expands visa services

1 ноября 2017

For the first time in 10 years, the US Embassy in Belarus is expanding its visa services and plans to start issuing tourist visas to Belarusians as early as 2018. This was announced by U.S. Charge d’affaires to Belarus Robert Riley.

Starting today, the age requirement for non-immigrant visas is reduced from 70 to 50 years.

Also from 1 November, another innovation has come into force. Applicants of any age, whose American visa of any category expired less than a year ago, can also apply for a new visa in Minsk.

Robert Riley noted that the five-day visa-free regime introduced in Belarus has contributed to a significant increase in the number of tourists from the United States.

On 9 November, the US Embassy will hold a live Facebook chat on matters of issuing visas.
